As we make dis­ci­ples, those dis­ci­ples nat­u­rally form com­mu­ni­ties, and we call those com­mu­ni­ties churches. As the gospel spread throughout the region, churches sprang up in other areas, mul­ti­plying as more dis­ci­ples were made.
